Love Leaves

by Brendan Cohn-Sheehy

slight flutter, a
blade descends
damped through mist, memory
till thezuc

thud.
Lain by a trunk
naked, grass

pupils notice flux

we had a form

delicate
brushed by
dust into
cellular harmony

leaves turned, returned
to roots
